Editing Macros
Macros are created using the document type macros.dtd and making them convenient to edit with Arbortext Editor. Reasons to edit existing macros include:
To revise macros that contain mistakes that were recorded.
To assign a keyboard shortcut by adding a value for the key attribute of a <macro> element.
To use a scripting language other than ACL.
To add conditional statements or prompts. (Doing so is not possible during the recording of a macro.)
Changes to macros take effect the next time the macro is run. Changes to keyboard shortcuts take effect in the next session.
