Displaying Text in the Document Map
You have the option of displaying or not displaying content text in the Document Map. There are three settings for the display of text in the Document Map:
No text
A single extended line of text
Wrapped text
When no text is displayed, the line extending from the element name lines up with the text of that element in the Edit view when the views are synchronized. (This is only true if you have the window split side-by-side with the Document Map in one pane and the Edit view in the other).
When a single line of text is displayed, it can extend beyond the Document Map pane if there is that much text. You can scroll horizontally with the scroll bar to view the text.
Document Map preferences are set in the View category of the Preferences dialog box and in the Advanced preferences.
To display text in the Document Map using the menu:
1. Choose View > Document Map.
2. Select one of the text display options.
