Deleting a Tag Pair
You may delete tags in your document if they are not required by the document type. While you can select a tag pair and press the DELETE or BACKSPACE key to remove it from a document, you should find that it is faster to use one of these commands.
1. Place the cursor within a tag pair (for example, emphasis tags).
2. From the menu bar, choose Edit > Delete Markup. If you highlight the tags (for example, empty tag pairs), you can delete them by choosing Edit > Delete or pressing DELETE.
Whether you can delete tags depends on structure rules for the document type. If removing a tag pair makes text or other tags out of context (breaking the rules), Arbortext Editor does not permit deletion.
