Queued Transaction Names Dialog Box
The Queued Transaction Names dialog box is available from the Arbortext Publishing Engine Preferences when you use Arbortext Publishing Engine for publishing. When you submit queued transactions to the server, you can assign a descriptive name to the transaction. Transactions are identified by their unique transaction ID, so a queued transaction name allows you to provide a more readable description for the published document. Given that you can specify any text for a queued transaction name, it is not unique for finding a particular transaction or retrieving specific results. You can also set the value for individual publishing requests in the Transaction Name field in the File > Publish dialog boxes when publishing a document.
The Queued Transaction Name value is displayed, along with other information about the transaction, in the Queued Transactions Dialog Box.
You can specify a Default to be used for all published output, or you can assign individual values for some or all outputs. If you provide a value for the Default, any other output type with Use Default checked will use its value. Specify a transaction name by clearing the Use Default box and entering a value next to the supported output type:

When you choose OK, the specifications are also saved as the value for the set pequeuedtransactionnames option.
If a transaction name value is supplied here and queuing is enabled, the value appears in the File > Publish set of publishing dialog boxes for the outputs previously listed. The user can change the value in the Transaction Name field when publishing a document.
In addition to descriptive text, a transaction name can be constructed from one or more variables as described in the following table. Note from the examples that the variables can be combined to produce a transaction name.
