Character Sets for International Languages
This section describes some of the system character sets that can be used for international languages. Arbortext Editor supports Unicode, but it can read from and write to various system character sets as described under the read and write commands.
Arbortext Editor automatic font configuration assumes that fonts are Unicode-encoded. Fonts that are not Unicode-encoded usually need custom configuration beyond the scope of normal product usage.

Characters 1–127 are standard ASCII keyboard characters. They include characters such as the numbers on the keyboard and the English alphabet. All other characters should be entered as entities in the generated text source in the stylesheet.
