If an element can be used in nested sequences, it may be the case that an inner sequence alters the numbering of members of the outer sequence. In this instance, number the context(s) that configure the nested (inner) sequence according to a custom counter. Ensure that the name of the custom counter does not match the custom counter name (if any) used for the outer sequence.
