PTC Arbortext Layout Developer creates a raster when applying a default gradient. This behavior allows PTC Arbortext Layout Developer to use as a color any raster graphic that it recognizes.

PTC Arbortext Layout Developer provides the fRasterColor object. It includes the same properties as gradient colors, with the exception of stops and resolution. Refer to Gradients for some information.

This feature can provide interesting results. For example, you can create a rule from a raster provided by the Marketing department and apply the rule across the top of a page.
