Cycling through Options
The F4 function key is used to cycle through the following options specific to the contents of the marker:
When the marker contains an input box, F4 toggles the input box on and off.
When the marker contains an integral, summation, or product, F4 toggles any limits between two positions—the top (or bottom) of the symbol and superscript (or subscript) position.
When the marker contains an expression that includes a pair of delimiters, F4 cycles through three steps:
1. First it turns off the right delimiter.
2. Then it turns off the left delimiter.
3. The next time you press F4 both delimiters reappear.
When the marker contains a relation, F4 negates the relation. For example, = becomes This is a picture of a not equal sign.. Note that there are negated relations symbols available under the AMS-TeX options.
When the marker contains a single delimiter, F4 cycles through the five available sizes of that delimiter.
When the marker contains TeX-input, F4 allows you to edit the TeX.
