Controlling Line and Page Breaks
The New Line Touch up processing instruction forces a new line to begin. It is represented by the _newline icon.
To add a line break:
1. Place the cursor where you want the line to break.
2. Choose Format > Touchup > New Line.
Alternatively, enter insert_tag _newline in the Arbortext Editor command line.
The No Line Break Region Touchup processing instruction prevents a line break prevented in a specified region. This region is surrounded by an unlabeled tag pair.
To prevent a line break from occurring in a region of your document:
1. Select the region where you want to prevent a line break from occurring.
2. Choose Format > Touchup > No Line Break Region.
Alternatively, enter insert_tag _nolinebreak in the Arbortext Editor command line.
The New Page Touchup processing instruction starts a new page. It is represented by the _newpage icon.
To add a page break:
1. Place the cursor where you want your page to end and a new page to begin.
2. Choose Format > Touchup > New Page.
Alternatively, enter insert_tag _newpage in the Arbortext Editor command line.
The No Page Break Region Touchup processing instruction prevents a page break in a specified region surrounded by an unlabeled tag pair.
To prevent a page break from occurring in a region of your document:
1. Select the region where you want to prevent a page break from occurring.
2. Enter insert_tag _nopagebreak in the Arbortext Editor command line.
