Toggling between Curly Quotes and Straight Quotes

Your document designer may have disabled the cycling through quotes feature for your document type.
To insert a double quote:
1. To insert a double quote in your document (either “, ”, or " ), place your cursor anywhere in the text and press the double-quote key on your keyboard once. The initial type of quote is context sensitive. For example, if you press the double-quote key once where it immediately precedes text, you get a double opening quote ( “ ). By pressing the key a second and third time, you cycle through the available double-quote options. The fourth time you press the key you return to the initial selection.
To insert a single quote:
1. To insert a single quote in your document (either ‘, ’, or ' ), place your cursor anywhere in the text and press the single-quote key on your keyboard once. The initial type of quote is context sensitive. For example, if you press the single-quote key once where it immediately precedes text, you get a single opening quote ( ‘ ). By pressing the key a second and third time, you cycle through the available single-quote options. The fourth time you press the key you return to the initial selection.
