Inserting Elements from the Insert Markup Dialog Box
To add document components to your document, first insert the element tags that represent the component.
1. Place the cursor in a valid location for the tag you wish to insert, or highlight text you want surrounded by the element.
2. Choose > . The Insert Markup dialog box appears.
|
The available markup changes based on the location of your cursor in the Edit pane and the Mode selected. If an element is not listed in the Insert Markup dialog box, it means that the element is not valid (not in context) at the cursor location.

◦ Text Entities — Lists text entities declared for the current document.
◦ File Entities — Lists file entity declared for the current document.
◦ Marked Sections — (SGML only) Lists valid marked section elements.
◦ User tags — Lists valid user-defined elements.
4. Highlight the markup you want to insert, and then click Insert.
The elements are inserted in the Edit pane, and the Cancel button changes to Close. The Insert Markup dialog box remains open until you close it.
