Change Active Workspace Dialog Box
The Change Active Workspace dialog box displays when you select Object > Change Workspace in Arbortext Editor. If you are connected to a PTC Server, use this dialog box to change the context or workspace in which you want to work. You can also create a new workspace. If you are working offline from the PTC Server, use this dialog box to select another context and workspace that you have made available for use offline.
The Change Active Workspace dialog box contains the following options:
Context — Select the context in which you want to work.
This list contains all of the contexts to which you have access on the current server. If you are prompted for the workspace change after selecting the Open in Arbortext action for a document in the Windchill HTML interface, then the list of available contexts might be reduced to only show those with appropriate access to view the document.
If you are working offline, the list contains the contexts containing workspaces you have made available offline.
Workspace — Select the workspace in which you want to work.
This list contains all of the workspaces you have available in the selected context. If you are working offline, the list contains the workspaces you have made available offline in the selected context.
New — Displays the Create New Workspace dialog box.
Use this dialog box to create a new workspace for a selected context. If you select a different context in which to create the new workspace from the one previously selected in the Context field, the value in the Context field changes to the context selected in the Create New Workspace dialog box.
This option is not available when you are working offline from the PTC Server.
If you have a document object open from the previous workspace that has unsaved changes, a warning is displayed that those changes will be lost when you change workspaces. If you do not save those changes, the document is closed and the changes are discarded when you change workspaces.
