Learning Where Text Can (and Cannot) be Entered
To enter text in a sample document:
1. Open a sample document from the menu bar by choosing File > New.
The New Document dialog box appears.
2. In the New Document dialog box, select a document type category in the Category list and the document type you want to use in the Type list and then select the Sample option.
3. Click OK (or press ENTER). A sample document opens displaying markup tags. (The name at the top of your Edit window, Document1, indicates an unnamed, unsaved document.)
4. From the menu bar, choose File > Save. The Save As dialog box opens.
5. In the File Name text box, type a name for your document.
6. Click OK. This names and saves your document. The name now appears at the top of the Edit window.
7. Place the cursor after any start tag by pointing to the right of the tag and clicking the left mouse button.
8. Enter text.
