Merging Data into Documents
*
The capability to merge data is deprecated and not an encouraged best practice supported by PTC.
Arbortext Editor lets you incorporate references to external data sources in a document, and to then periodically resolve those references. A reference to external data is called a query and the result is called merged data.
Before you can insert merged data, your system administrator must configure your site to support merging data. The Customizer's Guide provides an overview of configuring Arbortext Editor's data merging capabilities. Customizing data merging capabilities at your site may require that you contact PTC Global Services. Visit the Support area of www.ptc.com for the latest documentation on working with merged data or contact your PTC sales representative for more information on Global Services.
