Creating Vertical and Inline Simple Lists
Prerequisite: Arbortext XML DocBook document type
The simplelist element allows you to create two kinds of lists:
Indented vertical lists with no enumeration or markers.
Horizontal inline lists with items separated by commas.
To insert a variable list:
1. Type set smartinsert=on at the Arbortext Editor command line to turn on Smart Insert.
2. Click the Insert Markup toolbar button.
3. In the Insert Markup dialog box, select lists as the Category.
4. Select simplelist from the element list, and click OK. Arbortext Editor inserts the simplelist and member elements at the first location in which they are in allowed.
5. Type text within the member tags to create a list item.
6. Press ENTER to insert a new member element.
To set the method of alignment:
1. Click on the simplelist element in the Document Map.
2. Press CTRL+D. The Modify Attributes dialog box opens.
3. Choose vert, horiz, or inline from the type field.
4. Click OK.
