Controlling Layout
You can use the role attribute (tables use the orient attribute) on programlisting, figure, and graphic elements to control certain aspects of layout. You can control
Landscape or portrait orientation.
Width of element content. Column width restricts the content to the width of the text region. Page width allows the content to extend across the scanning column and text region
The maximum page width (and depth) supported by Arbortext Editor is 129 inches (3.27 m).
If you do not specify a role attribute value for programlisting, Arbortext Editor uses the default column-wide width. If you specify page-wide, Arbortext Editor uses page width. You cannot specify land as a value for the programlisting element.
To specify a layout:
1. Click on the element you want to format.
2. Press CTRL+D. The Modify Attributes dialog box opens.
3. Enter page-wide, column-wide, or land in the role field, and click OK.
