Changing Markup
The names of the current element and parent element at the insertion point are displayed in the Parent Markup and Current Markup boxes at the left end of the Application toolbar.
The current element is the element where the insertion point is located in the document. The parent element is the element that contains the current element. The parent element is in the left box, and the current element is in the right box. The example you see here indicates that the insertion point is within a para element. That para element is within a sect1 element.
Click on the arrow to the right of each box to display the element list.
These boxes have two functions:
Display the name of the current element and the element that contains it
Change the element to another element that is valid in that context in the document
Click on the parent element shown in the display box. That element becomes the current element (replacing the previous current element) and its parent appears in the parent box.
