Authentication Required Dialog Box
The Authentication Required dialog box displays when you are connecting to a PTC Server that uses HTTPS client authentication. The dialog box displays when there are multiple client certificates available in the designated Microsoft Windows certificate store or stores. You select the appropriate certificate to connect to the PTC Server in this dialog box. If only a single certificate is available, then that certificate is used by default and this dialog box does not appear.
The Authentication Required dialog box contains the following options:
Select a certificate — Enables you to select the certificate to use to connect to the server.
This list contains all of the client certificates the PTC Server connection finds in the designated certificate store or stores. When you select a certificate in the list, information about that certificate displays in the Certificate Information option.
Certificate Information — Displays information about the selected certificate.
This option provides the following information about the selected certificate:
User name — The user name associated with the certificate
Serial number — The certificate’s serial number
Store name — The name of the Windows certificate store in which the certificate is stored
Issuer name — The name of the user that stored the certificate
Valid from — The date range for which the certificate is valid
Select the certificate to use for connecting to the PTC Server and click OK.
