By default, the markup for DITA maps is not included in the resolved document for editing. This behavior is controlled by the ditaincludemapsinrde advanced preference. Set the value of this preference to on to include maps in the resolved document for editing. If you change this preference in a session where the resolved document has already been generated, then the change does not effect that session. Note that this preference is only used if there is no custom resolved document for editing document type configured for the current map.
