Specifying a Default Printer
The first printer specified in the Arbortext-path\lib\printers file is the default printer for the entire installation. There are several ways to override this setting:
To change the default printer for an individual editing session, choose an alternative printer from the Printer Name list in the Print Editor View and Print Published View dialog boxes.
To change the default printer for an individual user, create a user startup file or edit an existing one to include the following line:
set printer=printername
Some documents may only print on a certain printer because of the paper sizes or fonts available on it. In such cases, you can create a document command file (docname.acl or docname.js) to include the following line:
set printer=printername
Using a document command file changes the selected printer for the current editing session, so all print jobs will go to the document printer for the rest of the current editing session, unless the selected printer is changed in the Print Published View or Print Editor View dialog box.

Not all defaults can be changed. In some cases, it may be preferable to write a mapping or alias that performs a complex set of printing instructions and put it in a command file.
