XSL-FO Stylesheets
Arbortext Editor supports the use of XSL-FO stylesheets for printing, previewing, and creating PDF files. XSL-FO stylesheets use a vocabulary defined by the Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) to specify a document's formatting. This vocabulary defines a set of elements, referred to as formatting objects (FOs), and attributes, referred to as properties. Formatting objects specify the production of a given kind of published object (such as a block, a list, or a graphic). Properties applied to formatting objects specify additional details about how these published objects should be formatted (such as font size, color, indent).

XSL-FO stylesheets cannot be used for Edit view.
For detailed information on Arbortext Editor support of XSL-FO, refer to the Arbortext annotation of the W3C XSL specification, located in the docs directory of your installation. For detailed information on Arbortext extensions to XSL-FO, refer to www.arbortext.com/namespace/XslFoExtensions/ati-xsl-fo-extensions.html.

The FOSI and XSL-FO print engines are on sustained support and do not receive enhancements or maintenance fixes. PTC ALD is the recommended engine for print/PDF output.
