APTPRF — Specifying the Path Name of the Preferences File
This variable specifies the path and file name of the preferences file that was used to store preference settings in previous releases. If APTPRF exists from a previous release, it is used to locate the obsolete preferences file (epicprefs.acl.
The settings from the previous file are migrated to the preferences file called arbortext.wcf when you upgrade. The APTPRF environment variable is ignored if arbortext.wcf already exists. You can use the environment variable APTWCF to set the location of your preferences file. Do not set the APTWCF environment variable to find an epicprefs.acl file. The files are in different formats.
