APTLIGATURESENABLED — Specifying Whether Ligatures are used when Publishing
By default, Arbortext Editor publishes documents using ligatures when supported by the selected fonts. However, ligatures in PDF files may hinder searches of the document. To disable ligatures when publishing documents, set the environment variable APTLIGATURESENABLED to a value of no.
To disable ligatures on a per-document or per-document type basis, add the following line to the .tmx file for the document type or document:
\ligaturesenabled=0
To enable ligatures on a per-document or per-document type basis, set the environment variable APTLIGATURESENABLED to a value of no, and add the following line to the .tmx file for the document type or document:
\ligaturesenabled=1
If both an environment variable is set and a .tmx file entry is present, the environment variable setting is ignored.
