Language Support
Following are the steps you should follow to configure Arbortext Editor to support a language for authoring, previewing, and printing published output.
1. Set up the native environment.
2. Create the DTD. Take into consideration whether you will be using multi-language documents. Decide whether to use separate elements or attributes for languages in bilingual documents.
3. Create the stylesheet. Take into consideration whether you will be using multi-language documents. Set up indexing and hyphenation, and consider whether you should use character entities for generated text.
4. Localize Arbortext Editor if possible.
5. Determine the necessary font support.
Screen fonts — The operating system should provide fonts that are suitable for editing on the screen.
Printer fonts — Convert TrueType fonts and configure them for previewing and printing published output.
Reference the fonts — Specify the fonts in the stylesheet or use font substitution.
