Beginning with 7.1 M050, Arbortext Publishing Engine does not ship with a Java Runtime Environment (JRE). In order to use Arbortext Publishing Engine, you must first obtain a JRE from Oracle (www.java.com) and install it.

Arbortext Publishing Engine will work with Java11.

The environment variable APTJAVAVMPATH is supported for specifying the path where the Java Runtime Environment has been installed. If this environment variable is set, it takes precedence over a set javavmpath command.
