Nested Tables
You can insert a table within the cell of another table. You can display the nesting in the Edit view as well as published output. Table models support nesting to six levels deep.
The following should be considered when working with nested tables:
The outer table controls the padding that surrounds the inner table.
Nested tables do not automatically stretch to fit their containing cell.
The OASIS Exchange table model entrytbl element is not supported.
Nested tables are not supported in RTF output. If a nested table appears in a document it will be omitted if the document is published to RTF. This is a limitation of Microsoft Word.
Nested tables inside the cell of a custom tables will display only as tags. For more information, see:
