Exiting the Equation Editor
You can close the Equation Editor with or without saving your work on equations or any changes you may have made to the Palette.
Saving changes and exiting the Equation Editor:
1. Choose File > Save Document.
2. Choose File > Close.
When you exit from the Equation Editor, the Equation Editor window disappears and you are returned to the main document. You will see a graphic representation of your equation between two tags.
*
If you entered any TeX commands into the equation, they will appear as blank spaces in the main document. You will need to use the Print Preview or Print features to see them.
Exiting without saving changes:
There may be times when you want to close the Equation Editor window without saving changes:
If you made no changes to the equation while in the Equation Editor window.
If you do not want to keep any of the changes you made since you last saved the equation.
If you created a new equation in this session and do not want to save it.
To exit the Equation Editor without saving changes:
1. Choose File > Close.
2. If any changes were made, a response panel pops up asking if you want to save changes to the current equation. Choose No.
When you quit from the Equation Editor, the Equation Editor window disappears. You are returned to the main document.
