Help > Authoring > Working with Tables > Table Editing > Copying Cell Contents

Copying Cell Contents
1. Place your cursor inside the cell you wish to copy.
2. Choose Table > Select > Cell to select the cell.
*
When copying cell contents, Arbortext Editor removes any cell contents in the receiving cell before pasting. To add copied text while saving the text already in the target cell, select and copy only the text, not the entire cell contents.
3. Choose Edit > Copy.
4. Move the cursor to the cell where you want to paste the copied text.
5. Choose Edit > Paste. The text you copied appears in the cell, along with border and shading information for the cell you copied.
*
When you paste the cell contents in a custom table, the pasted content must be in context in the receiving cell or the paste will fail.
