Adjusting Column Width
Adjust column width using either of the following methods. (Column operations are not applicable to custom tables.)
To specify the column width using the Table Properties dialog box
1. Place the cursor in the column you want to adjust or select multiple columns.
2. Choose Table > Table Properties.
3. Select the Column tab.
4. Choose Proportional to allow the columns to adjust according to the table width, or choose Fixed and provide a value and unit of measure (cm, em, mm, in, pt, pc, pi, px) . Pixels (px) are the only supported unit of measure for HTML tables.
5. Click OK.

In OASIS Exchange tables, if you create a proportional width column in a fixed width table, the overall table width will change to the previously specified width. This may change the overall width of your table.
To specify the column width with the Column Ruler
1. Position your mouse over the Column Ruler tab you wish to move. You can also position your mouse over the border adjacent to the desired Column Ruler tab. When the mouse is over a border, the cursor changes to a double arrow.
2. Adjust the column width using one of the methods below:
Click and drag the tab/rule to size the column to the left of the tab, proportionally adjust the proportional-width columns to the right of the tab (fixed-width columns and overall table width stay the same).
Hold down the SHIFT key and click and drag the tab to adjust the columns immediately to the left and right of the tab without changing the sizes of the other columns or the table.
Hold down the CTRL key while dragging a tab to display the column width for the columns in the table. Each column displays its width in its specified units.
3. Release the left mouse button to set the column widths.
