Inserting Tags from the Document Type Viewer
The Document Type Viewer makes editing long documents easier. It allows you to see the SGML structure of your document and find markup tags in the Edit window. Using the viewer, you can find the next valid location in your document for a specific markup tag, then insert the tag.
*
If you have applied an alias map to your document, the Document Type Viewer will display aliases for elements, attributes, and attribute values that have been assigned aliases.
To insert tags from the Document Type Viewer:
1. Place the cursor between a tag pair.
2. From the menu bar choose Tools > Document Type Viewer. The Document Type Viewer window appears listing the markup structure in indented hierarchical format. The cursor in the Document Type Viewer window marks the same location as the cursor location in your document.
3. In the Edit window, place the cursor between another tag pair. (To move the Edit window or the Document Type Viewer window to the front of the screen, point at the window frame and press the LEFT mouse button.)
4. Click the Document Type Viewer window frame. To update the Document Type Viewer, choose File > Update Display.
The Document Type Viewer uses indentation to identify nesting and includes the following occurrence indicators.
