Linking and Intelligent Graphics
Arbortext Editor enables you to create the following types of links with intelligent graphics:
Linking from text in a document to an intelligent graphic.
In this case, you can also configure the link to initiate an action in the intelligent graphic. You can initiate the following types of actions:
Highlight a selected object in the graphic.
Start an animation or a sequence of steps in the graphic.
You can link to a specific step in a sequence.
Sequences are supported in PVZ graphics.
Switch the display of the graphic to a specific view of the graphic.
A view is a predefined look for an intelligent graphic that is stored within the graphic.
Linking from an intelligent graphic to a target in the text of a document.
You can associate links with specific objects inside of an intelligent graphic and have these links activate when a user clicks on that object in the graphic.
For Arbortext IsoView, when a link is associated with an object in an intelligent graphic, the associated object flashes briefly when the cursor moves across that object in the Arbortext IsoView control.
Linking from an intelligent graphic to another intelligent graphic.
You can also configure this type of link to initiate an action in the target intelligent graphic.

Links that initiate an action and links from an intelligent graphic are only supported for HTML output. When you publish a document to HTML with intelligent graphics included, these types of links are preserved during the publishing process.
