Cutting, Copying, and Pasting Text
To cut or copy text, you must begin by highlighting the text to be used. Cutting text removes the selected region, placing it in a paste buffer. Copying text leaves the selected region in place, placing a copy in the paste buffer to be pasted elsewhere. After copying, the region remains selected.
You can use a shortcut to perform a cut, copy, or paste. Click the right mouse button on an area of the Edit window to display a shortcut menu. From this menu, you can choose Cut, Copy, or Paste. Click the left mouse button or press ESC to close the shortcut menu.
