You can choose to compare documents containing pending changes as marked by the Change Tracking feature of Arbortext Editor. However, the Compare utility does not detect the highlighted changes; instead it operates on a version of the document with the pending changes applied.

You can compare the original view of the document to the pending changes highlighted view of a document. After marking changes using Change Tracking, save the document. Then set the document view to the original view (View > Change Tracking > Original). Choose Tools > Compare > Last Saved to compare the original view in the current Edit window with the last saved version containing the pending changes applied. The Compare annotations will be reversed in this case; that is, an addition to the original view is actually a deletion to the latest view.
