Creating Headings
Prerequisite: Arbortext XML DocBook document type
There is a hierarchy of elements available within chapters to give you various heading choices. The elements are sect1 through sect5. Each of these elements has a title element. The content you enter in title is the heading for the section. The hierarchy is enforced, so these elements can only be used if nested in sequence. You can insert a sect2 into a sect1, and a sect3 into a sect2. But you cannot insert a sect3 into a sect1 unless the sect2 is there first.
To insert a heading:
1. Place your cursor in the location at which you want the heading to display.
2. Click the Insert Markup toolbar button. The Insert Markup dialog box opens.
3. Select Division from the Category pulldown list.
4. Select sect1.
5. Click OK. The sect1 element is inserted into the document if it is valid at the insertion point or if Smart Insert is checked.
6. Type the heading text in the title.
7. Now click on the sect1 end tag (or place the insertion point just inside the sect1 end tag if full tags are turned on).
8. Open the Insert Markup dialog again with the Division category selected, and select sect2. Click OK. The sect2 is inserted in the sect1.
