Default DITA Document Type Configuration File Settings
If there is no document type configuration file (.dcf) associated with a DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) document type, Arbortext Editor uses the following file for DITA topics by default:
Arbortext-path\doctypes\dita\ditabase\ditabase.dcf
It uses the following file for DITA maps by default:
Arbortext-path\doctypes\dita\map\map.dcf
These files provide default values for many .dcf file settings. Default values are provided for the following .dcf file settings:

Some of the attributes set in the DitaOptions element can also be set in the Options element, though best practice is to set these attributes in DitaOptions.
Any other .dcf file settings must be explicitly set for a DITA document type. Note that the .dcf file settings in the Specials element for Graphic and Link are overridden by any conflicting settings in the Arbortext Styler stylesheet (.style) for the document type.
