Adding Equation Support to DITA Document Types
The Arbortext EditorEquation Editor is not supported for the default DITA document types. However, you can add equation support to custom DITA document types by integrating the Arbortext Equation Domain into your DITA DTD or XML schema. This domain provides two specializations of the foreign element named equation (for block equations) and inlineequation (for inline equations) that act as containers for namespaced equation markup.
There is a sample implementation of equation support for DITA topics in the following directory:
Arbortext-path\samples\dita\ditabase-with-equations
You can browse to that location from the New dialog box to see how equation support works in DITA topics.
