This chapter provides more details about some of the steps required to develop a compact installation of Arbortext Editor. It assumes that you have downloaded the Arbortext Editor Deployment Kit release file from the PTC support site and unzipped the contents of the Deployment Kit to a directory on your system. Suggestions are also provided for developing a compact installation that is deployed from a PTC Server that you are using as your content management system.

To download a release file, go to the PTC support site at support.ptc.com and select Order or Download Software Updates in the Popular Tools section of the support page. Note that there are two versions of the Arbortext Editor Deployment Kit. One for the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows (for example, arb60-F000-Editor32-deploy-kit.zip) and one for the 64-bit version (for example, arb60-F000-Editor64-deploy-kit.zip). You must choose which version of the kit you want to use before the download.
