Locating fonts in tfontsub.cf
When ArbortextEditor or Arbortext Publishing Engine processes a font family such as Arial or Times New Roman, it first searches the system for a matching font. If an exact match is not found, the left column of tfontsub.cf is searched to see if a substitute font has been mapped for the font. If the substitute font is available, ArbortextEditor and Arbortext Publishing Engine use it.
This process repeats up to five times until an acceptable font is found. If a font is not found after five attempts, ArbortextEditor and Arbortext Publishing Engine use the default font (Times New Roman).
If a font family name and font style are both specified in the stylesheet, ArbortextEditor and Arbortext Publishing Engine use the font family name.
