APTCSFILE — Specifying an Alternate Character Set Configuration File
If set, provides the search path for a character set configuration file that maps window system font family names to character set names. The default file wcharset.cf is located in Arbortext-path\lib. All character sets must have an entry in one of these configuration files.
You can make a copy of the default file for your platform and modify it. Follow the instructions in Associating fonts with character sets for display.
Example:
set APTCSFILE=c:\mydir\wcharset.cf
If you want to make a custom wcharset.cf file automatically available, use the Arbortext-path\custom\lib directory to load it automatically upon startup (avoiding the need to set an environment variable). If you create a custom wcharset.cf file for a particular locale, you can put it the appropriate subdirectory Arbortext-path\custom\lib\locale.
