Using the APP Document to Debug a Stylesheet
You can save a document out of the APP Preview Window as an APP file. You can then open the file in Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher — Desktop to further investigate any issues in its APP code. Changes made to the document here will be immediately visible without having to invoke further print preview actions for review.
To save the document from the APP Preview Window, use the Save As APP toolbar icon in the toolbar or the File > Save as APP file menu option. When the document is saved, APP will break any links to external files and save them inside the output APP file. This ensure that none of the components are missing.
Once saved, the file can be opened in an equivalent version of Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher — Desktop.
Opening the file in Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher — Desktop makes each tag in the document available for direct edit. You can apply further changes or add other debug messages. Once you have made and tested changes here, you can replicate them in source edits in Arbortext Styler.
