Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher creates a raster when applying a default gradient. This behavior allows Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher to use as a color any raster graphic that it recognizes.

Arbortext Advanced Print Publisher provides the fRasterColor object. It includes the same properties as gradient colors, with the exception of stops and resolution. Refer to Gradients for some information.

This feature can provide interesting results. For example, you can create a rule from a raster provided by the Marketing department and apply the rule across the top of a page.
