Using Paste Special
The Paste Special dialog box enables you to take content copied from another application and select how you want to paste that content into your document. Paste special is only available when there is RTF, MIF, HTML, or plain text content in the Windows clipboard.
Follow these steps to use the Paste Special dialog box:
1. In the other application, select the content you want to paste into your document.
You can select content in Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, web browsers, and other applications.
2. Select > .
The Paste Special dialog box opens.
3. Select the type of markup in which you want to paste the content from the Paste As list.
If you just want to paste the content as plain text, select text from the list.
4. Select OK.
The content is pasted into your document in the format you selected. If you do not like the result, you can use > to undo the paste.
If the markup you selected is not valid at the paste location, the Invalid Paste Structure dialog box opens displaying that markup. You can use this dialog box to view the markup and to copy and paste selected parts of the markup into your document.
