You must install PTC Arbortext Layout Developer (PTC ALD) into a separate directory from any other 3B2 or PTC ALD installation. You are not permitted to run F000 and Mxxx datecode releases of the same major release concurrently.

You can run this release of PTC ALD alongside a previous release, for example release 10.0 or 11.0.

Check the directories of your current installation for files that you may have customized. You may want to save them to reuse with your upgraded version. Be sure to copy them to a safe location before proceeding with the installation.

Perl 5.8.9 is installed as a default to support this release.

The Perl install is included with the PTC Arbortext Layout Developer installer. If you do not want to install Perl 5.8.9, disable the option on the Custom page of the installer.
