PTC Arbortext Layout Developer (PTC ALD) uses the FLEXnet licensing system. This mirrors the system used to license other PTC Arbortext products. You can obtain a FLEXnet license from the Arbortext section of the PTC support site at www.ptc.com/support/.

You will need either a node-locked FLEXnet license or a floating FLEXnet license to run PTC Arbortext software. Licenses are available online for customers covered by an active maintenance agreement. You must have a PTC online account and a Customer Number to get a license.

Note that dongles and Arbortext License Manager are not supported on any PTC ALD version.
