Macro Bar
As mentioned previously, the PTC ALD macro bar is a floating window, containing a command line prompt for the entry of macros for immediate execution. As a default it is invoked by pressing the F9 key, although this setting can be customized to invoke the bar on any keystroke. Once the macro has been keyed into the bar, it is executed by pressing the Enter key. If you decide not to invoke the macro, however, pressing Ctrl+U will clear the macro bar.
It is likely that you will request the execution of multiple macros during a single PTC ALD session. Using the up and down arrow buttons once the macro bar is active will allow you to scroll through the list of macros you've used (ordered consecutively) and pick one for execution. This saves you having to re-enter macros many times over and speeds up the execution of common tasks.
It is also possible to paste cut/copied text into the macro bar.
