Licensing Summary
PTC Arbortext Layout Developer will search for a license the first time it is run. You will be prompted for license information if a valid license is not found. Note that this will not happen if licensing information is deployed to your system by a system administrator.
PTC Arbortext Layout Developer looks for the system environment variable
PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE automatically when it starts. This variable setting provides the path to one of the following to find licensing details:
• Your node-locked license file
• A port@servername specification, from where your software can retrieve a floating license.
If PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE does not exist or has an incorrect value, a licensing error is reported and you will need to specify licensing information as instructed.
