To upgrade an older PTC Arbortext Content Delivery installation to version 7.1.4.0, you must first archive the existing software directory, and then install PTC Arbortext Content Delivery 7.1.4.0 in the same location. When installing PTC Arbortext Content Delivery 7.1.4.0 version, ensure that you use the same database, LDAP (Windchill Directory Server), and data storage configuration as the older installation. When installing PTC Arbortext Content Delivery 7.1.4.0 version on the Viewers in a split or cluster environment as part of upgrading from a previous release, skip the LDAP and database configuration steps.
