Defining the Shopping Parameters
The new PTC Arbortext Content Delivery UI supports defining the shopping parameters attributes. For defining new shopping parameters, perform the following steps:
1. Navigate to the PTC Arbortext Content Delivery Administration home page and from the Attribute page, under Types, select Shopping Parameters.
2. Add the custom attribute as shown in the following image:
PTC Arbortext Content Delivery also supports creating the shopping parameters attributes in the traditional manner as available for the other attribute types. You can define a shopping parameters attribute by adding details of the required properties on the UI:
Data Type: Shopping Parameters attributes support the List data type.
Attribute Values: This property gets enabled when you select the List data type. You can set multiple possible values to the current attribute using semicolon (;) as the delimiter to provide separate values.
Parent Attribute: This property gets enabled only when only when the Attribute Values are populated. The options visible here are the earlier created attributes in Shopping Parameters and are of type List.
Mapping: Shopping Parameters have the mapping ability. You can define the mapping between the parent values and current attribute here.
The following example shows how the mapping between the parent values and current attribute values can be defined.
These set attribute values are then used on the delivery side of the PTC Arbortext Content Delivery application if you have access to the Set Shopping Parameters option. This option is visible in the hamburger menu only if all of the following three conditions are met at the administration side:
The Enable Shopping Parameters Setting preference is set to true. This preference is available under the Shopping Cart category.
The user has the Access Pricing and Availability privilege.
At least one shopping parameters is defined in Attributes types.
For more information on registering a pricing delegate, see Pricing and Availability System Integration.
