The FontSetup.xml configuration file under SW/Config/System/Config/Core/Version/Resources/Font maps font family names used in the print stylesheets to actual font files.

In addition, the configuration file now features a DefaultFont section where ranges of glyphs are specified to have a default font mapping: Should a character within a declared range occur in content to be generated to PDF using a font that does not support that glyph, the PDF engine will instead default to the font specified in attribute FamilyName on element Range:

This declaration ensures that the Book Print properly renders the odd typographical symbol, Greek or Asian glyph and so on that might be included in content where the stylesheet’s main font selection fall short in terms of suitability.

The default font generically is set to Noto Sans.
