Use Case: Managing Assets in ThingWorx Asset Management
The following sections will help familiarize you with ThingWorx Asset Management using the MRI demonstration data that you have installed.
Managing the Asset Table
  1. From the Console, click the Asset Manager tile.
  2. From the Asset Type menu, select PTC.Demo.Assets.MRIMachineTemplate.
  3. Click Clear.
  4. Click Add Filter and select Connection Status and click the checkbox to the right. Click Save.

Activating and Deactivating Assets
  1. Select an activated asset from the Assets table and click Image to deactivate the asset. When prompted to confirm, click Yes.
  2. Select the same asset from the table and click Image to reactivate the asset. When prompted to confirm, click Yes.
Viewing Asset Details
  1. Double-click one of the MRI machines in the Assets table to view the asset details.
  2. Under Current, review the Property Values, Alerts, and Location.
  3. Under Historical, click Property Values and select Helium from the Select property name drop-down.
  4. Modify both the start and end dates/time for Timespan and click Update Data.
Saving and Deleting Searches
  1. Create a composite search that includes connected assets of PTC.Demo.Assets.MRIMachineTemplate by selecting PTC.Demo.Assets.MRIMachineTemplate from the Asset Type drop-down.
  2. Click Save and name the search MRImachines. Click Save again.
  3. Click Search in the upper-left corner.
  4. UnderSearches, click My Searches.
  5. In the Saved Searches table, select MRImachines and click Image to delete the saved search.
  6. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
